The AGM of The Friends of Pagham Harbour will be held on Saturday 25th January at The RSPB Visitor Centre (PO20 7NE), starting at 2.30pm. An agenda will be published nearer the time.

A newsletter has been sent to all Friends with a proposal about the  'Future of the Friends;, inviting members tor their comments.

The next committee meeting is scheduled for 5th December 2019.

Come and join us on Saturday 21st September (10-12) for a Beach Clean at Medmerry.

Meet at the RSPB Car Park at Earnley (PO20 7JL) at 9.45am.

You would be most welcome.

A new bench, funded by The Friends of Pagham Harbour, has been erected on the tramway between the footpaths leading to the Visitors Centre. Overlooking the harbour entrance it is a fitting tribute to The Friends who have supported the nature reserve since 1976.

Copies of a map showing the new cycle link to Medmerry are available at RSPB Visitor Centre.

The Eileen Savill Award 2019

Saturday 1st June from 10.00am. 

The event will showcase this wonderful reserve and the two years of work that has been completed in and around our Discovery Zone and visitor centre.

We are inviting you to join us and try your hand at a host of activities from pond dipping and bug hunting, to mud-sifting, arts & crafts and wildlife watching.

Mike Dilger (wildlife presenter) will be opening the event at 10am and will be getting involved in some of the activities.

Two heritage trails have been produced by The Manhood Wildlife & Heritage Group, sponsored by local businesses. Copies can be obtained (free of charge) from The Old Piggery Cafe with a walk to castle and chapel at Church Norton and from Billys-on-the-Beach to explore Medmerry.

The cycleway linking the National Cycle Network Route 88 to Medmerry is now open. There is a crossing point from the Visitor Centre over the B2145 and a link to the footpath/pavement on the west side of the main road from Sidlesham.
