Registered Charity: No 1000136
The ‘Pagham Harbour Effect’ is different for everybody - visitor, RSPB staff member or volunteer – but is none the less real, and none the less precious. The Friends of Pagham Harbour (FOPH) was established in1976 exist to help preserve and sustain all that is special about our nature reserve and to ensure that it remains a sanctuary for wildlife and people alike.
A copy of our Constitution can be accessed by a link at the bottom of this page.
By joining the Friends, you can show that you care about this particular site. Through your membership fee and any additional donation, you can help fund projects on and around the site that fall outside RSPB budgets. In recent years we have rebuilt the steps at Church Norton, contributed towards the cost of developing the Discovery Area, the little tern exhibition trailer and the resurfacing of Church Norton car park, as well as funding a bursary for a Portsmouth University Master’s student.
If you would like to help with the conservation of Pagham Harbour (and Medmerry) Nature Reserve by making a donation to support the work of the Friends or by becoming a Friend yourself you would be most welcome – further details and an application form can be found on the ‘Join Us’ section of this website.
This website also:
explains the history of both our organisation and the nature reserve as a whole
has a map of the area with points of interest, places for wildlife sightings and local walks.
has Gallery which displays pictures of the reserve.
has a news update section highlights the latest developments and advertises events and activities that are taking place
If you would like further information, send a photograph for the gallery or wish to make a comment please contact us!
