Please note this is not an exhaustive list. If you have any particular skills that you think would be beneficial to the Friends, or the reserve, please let us know, as we hate to see talent going to waste.
We are always looking for people to help steward the visitor centre on the reserve. Stewarding sessions last from 10 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. – 5 p.m. in the summer. In the winter sessions last from: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
You do not need to know everything about the reserve, information is available to help you and the wardens are always on hand to answer questions too.
At present you would not have to do more than one session a month. If you would like to or would be able to do more, please let us know.

If you enjoy working with children or adults then you may enjoy working with our education team. The education team run packages for people of all ages on a variety of subjects. An education volunteer could help us by:

The Friends of Pagham Harbour
support a variety of surveys and research studies to investigate
the wildlife of the reserve. Several new species have been identified to the reserve as a result of the
surveys.
Do not worry if you don’t know about a certain species, as full training will be given.
